This week’s Beauty musing is confidence. For the yantra, I had a strong feeling that it had to be yellow, and this is what came. Not totally sure about it, I was originally thinking that it had to have some kind of core shape to radiate from, but it turned into more of an upwardly thing. I did just do a quick look up of the significance of triangles and the point up kind can be used to indicate stability or a strong foundation, so that’s a pretty good image for confidence I think. Here’s my definition of it:
Confidence is a solid, unshakeable knowing. Belief with spirit. Confidence is diving in head first, Speaking up and being seen. Planting your flag in the name of all you’re certain of. Confidence feeds will, determination and clarity in the most direct and effective way. Confidence seems to be a native element in some people. For the rest of us, it is a skill that can be carefully cultivated and grown. Starting by simply showing up for yourself consistently. Confidence has a shiny, radiant quality. Acquiring just a bit can spark more of it. It’s from the Latin confidere . Fidere meaning trust. This is where the Beauty is in confidence. That trust, and the faith, independence and courage that are created from it.
